The series of AOCs are active optical cables compliant with QSFP28 100G connectors. They are 100G hot pluggable cables that support Infiniband and Ethernet data transmission. The cables provide parallel interconnects—4-lane Tx and 4-lane Rx data, supporting distances within 70 meters on OM3 fibers. The AOCs are composed with two intergarted optical modules connecting by multimode fiber cables. This integrated optical module is with COB(chip on board) design using high speed VCSEL arrays for easier assembly process and volume production. It is compliant with SFF-8636 standard for QSFP28 form factors. The AOC prodcut removes the complicated optical fiber installation and lower the module cost by testing pass on connected modules only. They are designed to meet the requirements of high speed, high density, and low power consumption for applications in today's data centers.
