FREMONT ,CA- June 10, 2009 – WaveSplitter Technologies, Inc., a worldwide supplier of optical components and modules for advanced optical networks, today announced availability of new 10Gbps SFP+ and XFP transceiver products.

“Wavesplitter is pleased to provide these new SFP+ and XFP transceivers in order to address the fastest growing area of the optical transceiver market,” said Dr. Sheau Chen, CEO. “Due to our efficient business model and global presence, we are able to set a new standard for price, performance and density in 10Gbps Optical transceivers. These products are a great addition to our existing SONET, Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet SFF and SFP product line, resulting in a full-line offering of data rates and reaches facilitating one-stop shopping for the convenience of our customers,” said Dr. Chen.

Wavesplitter’s SFP+ and XFP transceivers are targeted at fast-growing 10 Gbps Ethernet applications such as datacenter, head end digital video distribution, inter-campus link and access networks. They are meant to be used in datacom networking equipment such as Ethernet switches and routers, load balancers, Host Bus Adaptors (HBAs), NIC cards, and high speed data and video servers.

Available for immediate delivery are 10GBASE-SR modules in existing XFP and the new SFP+ MSA-compliant form factors. Additionally, a 10GBASE-LR module in both XFP and SFP+ MSA-compliant form factors will be available for delivery in September.
