FREMONT, CA- October 13, 2015 – WaveSplitter Technologies, Inc. has today announced new 100Gbps QSFP28 SR4, targeted at High density, high performance applications found in High Performance Computing (HPC), warehouse mega data centers, and video distribution centers.

With the bit-error-rate than 10-15, we can provide more reliable packet communication within data center. Compared to the conventional copper-based direct attach cables (DACs), with the loner, lighter, and bendable optical fiber with pluggable MPO connector allows complicated data center simplify cabling deployment”
Wavesplitter’s 100G QSFP28 SR4 product brings lower cost, highest performance interconnect between racks in a row and row to row interconnect in the data center or video distribution locations up to 70/100m via OM3/OM4 MPO cable. They are meant to be used in datacom networking equipment such as 100GbEthernet switches and routers, load balancers, and high speed data and video servers, Infiniband EDR, FDR, QDR switches in low power consumption of max. 2.5W over 0~70degC.
QSFP28 SR4 engineering samples will be available in November for customers’ testing and qualification, and the production units will be available in Q1 2016.
